Yvonne L (Dawson) Whitman

Yvonne L. Whitman, 91, of Saint Marys, died 11:54 A.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Vancrest of Saint Marys.

She was born August 15, 1932, in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ted and Louella (Nida) Dawson.

She married Robert Whitman on October 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death in March, 2002.

She is survived by her children: Roberta Whitman of Saint Marys; Edward (Sandy) Whitman, of Saint Marys. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Amanda Rohrbach; Brittany (Andy Brock) Whitman; Eddie Whitman; Jennifer (Tony Bowers) Whitman; Nathan Whitman; Todd (Sharon) McClain; Daisey (Richard) Hurley; by her twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and by her siblings: Molly, Jackie, Cora and Tom.

She was a 1952 graduate of New Wilmington High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading her Bible and playing bingo with her friends. She was a member of the Saint Marys Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant.

Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
