Wilma Ruth Pruitt, 91, of Saint Marys, died 12:55 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 21, 1934, in Fonde, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Dallas (Reed) Mobley.
She is survived by her daughter, Trish Compton of Saint Marys; by her four grandchildren: Machelle (Brent Delgado) McKinney; Michael Compton; Heather Zapfe; Natasha Pruitt; by her 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her son, Steve Pruitt; by her siblings: Marie Dotson; Harvey Mobley; Wendell Mobley, Sr.; Joyce Mobley Steele; Leland “Woody” Mobley; by her husband, Ray Pruitt.
Wilma was a member of New Start Community Fellowship in Celina. She loved attending church where her nephew, John Mobley, serves as Pastor. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing gospel music, and also spending time with her daughter and all her grandchildren;
Private family funeral rites will be held at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
