Thelma L (Lampman) Strassburg

Thelma L. Strassburg, 81, of New Knoxville, and formerly of Ashland, Kentucky, died 7:06 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.

She was born February 23, 1942, in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of Florence Buchner Lampman.

She married Robert Strassburg in Lockport, New York, and he preceded her in death in 2014.

She is survived by her children: Todd Strassburg of Nicholasville, Kentucky; Andrea Strassburg of Lexington, Kentucky; Robin (John) Jones of New Knoxville. She is survived by two grandchildren: Jacen Jones and Josie Jones; by her siblings: Debbie (Tom) Parker of Lakeland, Florida; Beth Aurielie of Lakeland, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, James Lampman.

She graduated from Wilson High School in Wilson, New York and earned a BS in Education from the University of New York, Oswego. She taught 6th grade for many years in Ransomville ,New York. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching TV and reading.

Private family funeral rites will be held at  a later date.
