Steven H. Schroer

OBITUARY

Steven H. Schroer, 82, of New Bremen, OH died 5:47 p.m. Saturday April 19, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 31, 1943 in Celina, OH to Wilbur and Donna (Bartlett) Schroer.

He is survived by his dear wife of 48 years, Linda (Hines) Schroer.

Together, they raised seven children in their home:

Tammy (Rodney) Fetters of Van Wert, OH

Wade (Johanna) Schroer of New Knoxville, OH

Shelly (Don) Smart of New Bremen, OH

Cory Schroer of New Bremen, OH

Mandy (Jeff) Ruvoldt of St. Marys, OH

Dee Dee Schroer of New Bremen, OH

Preceded in death by:

Parents Wilbur and Donna Schroer; daughter Kathy White; grandson Hunter Schroer; great-grandson Preston Deerhake; sister Charlene (Bob) Kelch; infant sister Charlotte Schroer. 

He was a graduate of New Bremen High School (Class of 1961).

Steve retired from the Dana Corp. in Lima, OH after 30 years, where he worked as an inspector.

His favorite pastimes included playing video poker and spending the winters in Apollo Beach, FL. Steve will be remembered for his terrific sense of humor and his love of spending time with his family.

A Celebration of his Life will be announced in the near future.
