Shirley Ann (Wilges) Harold

Shirley Ann Harold, 92, of Saint Marys, died at 4:04 P.M. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Vancrest of Saint Marys Nursing Home.

She was born October 19, 1930, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Leland and Vernie (Gibson) Wilges.

She first married David F. Cathcart, and he died in 1969. She later married Raymond Harold, and he also preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her children: Susan (Mark) Kleinhenz of Saint Marys; David Craig Cathcart of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are her four grandchildren: Luke (Stacy) Kleinhenz; Matthew (Sejal) Kleinhenz; Jon (Rebecca) Kleinhenz; Angie (Cain) Doliboa. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Wilges and William Wilges.

Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She worked for many years in the office of Dr. John Bowling, M.D. and later for Saint Marys Family Practice. She loved to travel, bake, play her piano and go to bingo. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Saint Marys.

Private family graveside rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 23, at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys. Miller Funeral Home in Saint Marys is assisting Shirley’s family with her funeral arrangements, and condolences and memories can be sent to her family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
