Donna “Sharon” Richardson, 70, of New Knoxville, Ohio, and formerly of Lyons, Georgia, died 1:07 A.M. Thursday, at her residence.
She was born April 11, 1954, in Vidalia, Georgia, the daughter of Bruce and Ruth (Harrison) Odom.
She married David J. Richardson, and he survives in New Knoxville.
She is also survived by her step-children: Elizabeth Williams of Piqua; Jill Lampert of Saint Marys; Katie Young of Venedocia; Nick Richardson of Saint Marys; her sister, Gina (John) Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and by a nephew, Will Collins of Lynn, Georgia.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Joseph Odom, II.
She was a graduate of Lyons Senior High School in Lyons, Georgia, where she was a standout basketball player. She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of her dogs. She loved her family very much.
Private family funeral rites will be held at a later date. Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, 200 West Spring Street, New Knoxville, Ohio, is entrusted with Sharon’s funeral arrangements.
