Shane J. Mobley, 36, of Saint Marys, Ohio, died unexpectedly on October 12, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 22, 1987, in Coldwater, Ohio, the son of John and Stacie (Toler) Mobley.
He married Danielle Copeland on August 4, 2007, at New Start Church of God in Celina, and she survives in Saint Marys. He is also survived by his father, Pastor John Mobley of Saint Marys; by his mother, Stacie (Robert) Shadrach of Elgin; by his four sons: Joshua Mobley; Michael Mobley; Jonathan Mobley and Shane Mobley, all of the home in Saint Marys.
He is survived by his in-laws, Duane and Terri Copeland of Wapakoneta; by his paternal grandmother, Vivian Mobley of Saint Marys; by his maternal grandmother, Joyce (Max) Ferguson of Celina; by his brother, Seth (Balinda) Mobley of Celina; by his step-brothers: Joshua (Mindy) Shadrach of Saint Marys; Joseph Shadrach.
He is survived by his aunts and uncles: Teresa (Wayne Sweigart) Mobley of Saint Marys; Wendell Mobley of Nashville, Tennessee; Brian Mobley of Saint Marys; Mike Mobley of Nashville; Shannon (Brad) Wurster; Karen (Scott) Wurster; by his sister-in-law, Jessie (Cassidy) Motter of Waynesfield, Ohio. He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Isabella; Olivia; Brittany; Alexis and Carter
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wendell Mobley and Rodney Toler.
Shane attended Parkway High School and later a Christian School in Wapakoneta; He was an ASE Certified Mechanic and also a Master Certified Chrysler Mechanic. He had worked at Saint Marys Chrysler for a number of years, and was currently the owner the business he and his brother, Seth, started, Brothers Auto in Celina. He loved working on cars, taking his family fishing, camping and hiking. He caught the biggest bass of his life on Saturday! Shane was a loving, unselfish person and as an organ donor, he saved the lives of 5 people in desperate need. He was a member of New Start Church of God in Celina, and he will be remembered as a loving father and husband.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at New Start Church of God, 7729 US 127, Celina, Ohio.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church, where memorial gifts may be given to Shane’s children.
