OBITUARY

Sandra K. (Shinabery) Lewis, 78, of Indianapolis, IN died 6:41 a.m. Sunday November 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born December 3, 1945 in Celina, OH to Richard “Mope” and Irene (Linn) Shinabery.

Survivors include: husband Terry L. Lewis

                             daughter Joann (Wayne) Slaughter; daughter Andrea Lewis; son Kyle (Brandy) Lewis

                             6 grandchildren: Kayla, Damon, Paige,  Aleena, Bobby, Laila

                             4 great-grandchildren: Santana, Ace, Kailiani, Milian

                             brother Larry (Mona) Shinabery

                             sister Susan (Marvin) Buschur 

                             brother Steve (Chris Caudill) Shinabery

                             brother Bruce (Chris) Shinabery        

Preceded in death by: parents Richard and Irene Shinaberry; daughter Kristine Lewis (1978); brother Jerry Shinabery

She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1963).

A cashier, she retired from Marsh Supermarkets after more than 40 years of service. 

She enjoyed taking meticulous care of her yard and flowers. Above everything else, she absolutely treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 12:00 noon -  2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family welcomes floral tributes from The Gilded Greenhouse in St Marys, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be directed to the “Little Red Door” support program.
