Russell E. Irwin, 84, of Bellefontaine, OH died Sunday December 27, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born October 9, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Willard and Rosella (Shaffer) Irwin.

Son Mark Irwin of Shawnee, OH
Son Robert (Brandie) Irwin of Jackson Center, OH
Son Randall Irwin of Lima, OH
Son Ryan Irwin of Bellefontaine, OH
Son Michael (Leslie) Duncan of Bellefontaine, OH
18 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by: parents; brother Ralph Irwin; brother Ronald Irwin; sister Betty Aldrich; sister Janet Sterling
A veteran of the United States Air Force, he proudly served his country during the Korean War.
He was an installer/technician for Time-Warner Cablevision in Kenton and later worked as a cashier for Walmart in Bellefontaine.
Russell was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed supporting the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football programs. Friendly and outgoing, he enjoyed socializing with his friends at Mc Donald's and Burger King. He will be remembered for his strong Christian faith, and enjoyed singing in his church and speaking to people about his love of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rites are scheduled to begin 12:30 p.m. on Saturday January 2, 2021 at the Family of Faith Open Bible Church 516 Eastern Ave. in Bellefontaine, OH. Pastor Rodney Reynolds will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, OH
Visitation 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday at the church.
