OBITUARY

Ronald Lee Macy, 74, of Celina, OH died 3:50 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2024 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH.

He was born August 10, 1950 in Troy, OH to   Harold Donald “Don” and Cecile (Elliott) Macy.

He married Karen Louise Pannell, who survives.

Also survived by: brother Jerry (Marsha) Macy; daughter Erin (Eric Scott) Macy; daughter Gina Macy; son Johnathon Macy; nephew: Matthew (Heather) Macy; grandchildren: Kyle, faith and Kaleb Miller, Addison Scott, Zachery (Paige Rupp) Phillips, Meggie (Randy) Ward, Jacob Phillips, Robert Macy, Caitlin Gilbert, Hazel Randquist

Great-nephew and niece: M.J. Macy, Addie Macy

Brother-in-law Harold Pannell, Jr.

Bonus brothers: Craig Vires, Carl Smith

Preceded in death by: parents Harold Donald “Don” and Cecile Margaret (Elliott) Macy; brother Larry Macy; niece Maria Margaret Macy

A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country as a combat engineer during the Vietnam War. 

A certified electrician, he retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH following many years of service.

His favorite pastimes included riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, restoring classic automobiles and spending time with family and friends at his home near Grand Lake St. Marys.

Ronald was able to share the gift of life with others in need through organ and tissue donation.

A public memorial service will be announced.
