Robert P. Hoffman, 70, of rural Wapakoneta, OH died at home and was officially pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday September 3, 2024.
He was born August 12, 1954 in Mishawaka, IN to Harry Eugene and Carolyn Jane (Abbott) Hoffman.
On August 3, 1985 in Kettering, OH he married Chandra Anne Miller, who survives.
Also survived by: daughter Sara (Josh) Wical of Waynesville, OH
3 grandchildren: Chase Wical, Logan Wical, Rosalie Wical.
Preceded in death by: his parents Harry and Carolyn Hoffman.
He was a graduate of Devry Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in electronics.
Mr. Hoffman had an interesting and storied career in the field of electronics, most notably serving as Senior Technical Analyst for Military Obsolescence Management.
Bob and Chandra loved spending time at their home in the country. They enjoyed the family lake cottage in northwest Wisconsin. They also loved all kinds of travel, but especially visiting historical sites. Bob was community-minded, and was currently president of the Wapakoneta Lions Club. He attended Faith Alliance Chuch in New Bremen. Most importantly Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation 10 am - 12 noon on Monday September 16, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) Chapel in St. Marys.
Private graveside committal services will follow at the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville, OH.
