Robert H Cowgill, Sr.

Robert H. Cowgill, Sr., 73, of Saint Marys, and formerly of Franklin, Ohio, died suddenly at 6:40 A.M. Friday, March 18, 2022, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 20, 1949, in Franklin, the son of Paul and Jean (Hopper) Cowgill.

He married Ruth Ann Simpson on February 21, 2003, and she survives in Saint Marys.

He is also survived by his children: Robert (Heather) Cowgill, Jr. of Fairfield, Ohio; Teresa (Carlos) Oseguera of Weston, West Virginia; April Cowgill of Saint Marys; by his step-children: Kelly James Cowgill of Monroe, Ohio; Candy Bellamy of Huber Heights.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Emily Crow; Samantha Crow; Graci West; James West; Jessie Bailey; Tyler Combs; Autumn Martinez; Jesse Oseguera; Chase Cowgill; Kole Cowgill; Erica Combs.He is survived by his step-grandchildren: Alexis Bellamy; Taylor Bellamy; Kyle Bellamy; by his great-grandchildren: Tierni Baker-Combs; Tanner Combs.

He is also survived by his siblings: Butch Cowgill; Judy Cowgill; Judy Clemens.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a granddaughter, Sommer Martinez.

Robert attended Franklin High School and was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from IMS Concrete in Middletown. He enjoyed fishing, driving his new truck and weekend shopping trips with his wife, Ruth.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Pastor Tim Benjamin, officiant.

Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
