Richard A. Houts Jr.

Richard A. Houts, Jr., 56, of Buckland, OH died unexpectedly Saturday October 26, 2019 at his residence.

He was born March 31, 1963 in St. Marys, OH to Richard A. and June Carol (Lanning) Houts, Sr.

On March 7, 1986 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, OH he married Martha J. Dingledine, who survives.

Also survived by: son Richard Houts III of Castle Rock, WA

                               son James (Elizabeth) Houts of Coldwater, OH

                               son Michael (Kayla) Houts of Mendon, OH

                               5 grandsons: Thomas, Benjamin, Nathan, Weston and Blaine Houts

                               sister Judy (Rob) Williams of Celina, OH

                               brother David Houts of Wapakoneta, OH

                               mother-in-law Janet Dingledine of St. Marys, OH

Preceded in death by: parents Richard and June Houts, Sr.; father-in-law Robert Dingledine

He was a graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School (Class of 1982).

Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

A skilled tool maker, he worked at American Trim Corp. in Wapakoneta for 26 years.

Richard's favorite pastimes include tinkering with anything mechanical, shooting sports and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday November 1, 2019 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Robert Warren will officiate the services.

Burial, with graveside military honors, will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.

Visitation 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
