Peter Samuel Feldwisch, 33, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Peter was born on June 30, 1991, in The Woodlands, Texas, to David L. and Diane L. (May) Feldwisch. He attended Trinity Lutheran Elementary School, Saint Ambrose Junior High School, and Saint Pius X High School. While in high school, Peter played competitive ice hockey, earning many awards including a silver medal at the fastest hockey skater in the state of Texas. Peter continued his education receiving his degrees in airplane and car mechanics. Peter loved making things better.
Peter also had a spot for “the underdog” including, but not limited to, any stray or homeless furry friend. He treated every pet with compassion as if they were family. Many continued to stay with Peter. The same could be said for people. Peter could easily see injustice and was always helping those in need.
Peter was also an avid reader. As a child, Peter could be found with a flashlight reading under his bed covers at night, and as an adult, stretched out on a cozy chair. He loved escaping into a good book.
Peter is preceded in death by his father, David Feldwisch; his uncle, Robert Feldwisch; and grandfather, Vernon Feldwisch. He is survived by his mother, Diane Feldwisch; brother, Philip Feldwisch; daughter, Helana (Laney) Feldwisch; grandmother Joann Feldwisch; and grandparents Kenneth and Helen May, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and their children.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Joel Bucklin, officiant. Burial rites will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville, where Peter will be laid to rest next to his father, David Feldwisch.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral rites at the funeral home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, please take the time to show compassion and caring to others, just as Peter always did. Let us all follow Peter’s example. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
