Paul Edward Pfeil, a loving father, devout Catholic, and dedicated public servant, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 86. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on February 13, 1937, Paul began a remarkable journey that touched the lives of many. He embarked on his educational path at Kent State University, where he acquired a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that would shape his future endeavors.

Following his graduation, Paul dedicated his professional life to serving his country as a U.S. Customs Officer and Computer Programmer. He displayed unwavering commitment throughout his three-decade-long career, retiring at the age of 51. Paul's diligent work and integrity earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of those he served.

Paul's faith was an integral part of his life. As a devout Catholic, he found solace and guidance through his spiritual connection to God. The Church of the Ascension in Kettering, Ohio, held a special place in his heart, serving as a sanctuary where he found community and shared his devotion with fellow parishioners.

Outside of his professional and religious commitments, Paul cherished the simple joys of life. He found immense happiness in hiking, immersing himself in nature's beauty, and drawing strength from the tranquility it provided. His family was his greatest source of joy and inspiration. Paul was a dedicated father who loved spending quality time with his four children, sharing in their joys and supporting them through life's challenges.

A man of deep faith, Paul found solace and inspiration in the pages of the Bible. Its wisdom and teachings resonated within him, guiding his actions and serving as a source of comfort in times of need.

Paul Edward Pfeil is survived by his beloved children, Elaine Pfeil, Lorin Venable and her husband Ken Venable, Alex Pfeil and his wife Nicole, and Leigh Thornton and her husband Rich.
