OBITUARY

Paul Leroy Hoover, 64, of St. Marys, OH died 12:12 a.m. Sunday September 28, 2025 at The OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

He was born May 18, 1961 in St. Marys, OH to Marvin and Evelyn (Longsworth) Hoover.

Survivors include:

sister Schereena Hoover-Sobecki of Haines City, FL

nephew Jason Brandenburg of Lima, OH

numerous cousins

Preceded in death by:

Parents Marvin and Evelyn Hoover; brother Jamie Scott Hoover; paternal grandparents Paul and Lucy Hoover; maternal grandparents Gilbert and Ida Longsworth; nephews: Carlos Eugene Hoover and Steven Paul Irish.

He was a graduate of Coldwater, OH High School (Class of 1980).

He worked for a number of years at a truck stop in Haines City, FL.

Passionate about music, he loved playing his guitar. His favorite tune was “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 3, 2025 at the Miller Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Minister Larry McCollum will officiate the services.

Visitation one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
