Owen James Clements

OBITUARY

Owen James Clements, 21, of St. Marys, OH died 6:44 p.m. Monday January 5, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH.

He was born January 19, 2004 in Lima, OH to Matthew J. and Angela M. (Schallenberg) Clements.

Survivors include:

father Matthew Clements of St. Marys, OH

mother Angela (John Schoenlein) Clements of St. Marys, OH

brother Aidan Clements of St. Marys, OH

sister Margaret “Maggie” Clements of St. Marys, OH

maternal grandparents: Rick and Tina Schallenberg of St. Marys, OH

a large extended family, which includes numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

Preceded in death by:

paternal grandparents James and Emma (Yahl) Clements

He enjoyed attending school at the Auglaize Co. Educational Service Center and participating in the Equestrian Therapy Program at Fassett Farm near Cridersville, OH.

His favorite pastimes included going for walks, cuddling on the couch, spending time in the swimming pool and eating home-cooked meals.

He was very social and delighted in being surrounded by friends and family. The manner in which Owen lived, in spite of monumental challenges, has left an enduring mark on those who knew him. He will be missed! 

A time of sharing and remembrance for the life of Owen James Clements is scheduled  2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday January 10, 2026 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys, followed by a brief service at 4:00 p.m.
