OBITUARY
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Oliver William “Bill” Qualls, aged 88, on Monday May 12, 2025 in St. Marys Ohio.
Born on 03/22/1937 in Buttonwillow, California. Bill was the beloved Son of Oliver William Qualls, Sr. and Gladys Rosella (Braden) Qualls.
Bill is survived by three children Rick (Gene) Qualls, Ken (Carrie) Qualls, and Tom Qualls; three grandchildren: Josh Qualls, Kacey (Alan) Sells, Cayliegh Qualls and 4
step-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by five great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Kyra, Nicholas, Abigail and Millie and 10 step-great- grandchildren.
His beloved wife of 54 years, Carole, preceded him in death in 2015.
Bill was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Carole, with whom he shared many cherished years; they were married August 12th, 1961.
Bill graduated from Willows High School in 1955, and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 thru 1959, where he made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories.
After his time in the service, Bill built a successful business in Simi Valley, California “Madera Heating and Air Conditioning”, which he owned and operated with pride.
Bill had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, andcamping. After retiring, he and Carole left Redding California and made their home in
Florence, Arizona, where they enjoyed the warmth and slower pace of life.
In 2016, Bill moved to Wapakoneta, Ohio after the passing of his wife, to live with his granddaughter Kacey and her family, where he spent his final years surrounded by love.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer in Wapakoneta Ohio, details to follow as they are made available.
