Michael F. Gossard, 59, of Saint Marys, died 11:51 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, following a three year long illness.
He was born April 25, 1964, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Barry and Sally (Edman) Gossard.
He married Linda Evers on July 2, 1988, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, and she survives in Saint Marys.
He is survived by his son, Luke Gossard of Saint Marys.
He is also survived by his mother, Sally Gossard of Saint Marys; by his siblings: Dennis (Tina) Gossard of Wapakoneta; Doug (Joyce) Gossard of Saint Marys; Marc Gossard of Saint Marys. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Paul Evers of Saint Marys; by his sisters-in-law: Sharon (Richard) Kipfer of West Chester, Ohio; Janet (Stephen) Goodwin of Sparta, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Barry Gossard and by his mother-in-law, Genie Evers.
Mike was a 1982 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Honda of America Manufacturing in Anna after 34 years of service.
He loved to travel, especially to the beach. He loved traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee during football and basketball season to cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers. He enjoyed watching all sports and being around his family and friends.
Mike also enjoyed frequent weekend roadtrips with his son.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Reverend John Tonkin, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-7 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. til 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to help pay Mike’s medical expenses.
