Melba I. Hooker, 92, of rural St. Marys, OH died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday December 30, 2021 in Mason, OH.
She was born April 16, 1929 in Lima, OH to Howard Amasa and Minnie Ellen (Brown) Stevenson.
On July 15, 1950 in Lima, OH she married John Robert Hooker, who died August 11, 2005.

daughter Beverly Jo Burden of Lima, OH
9 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren 12 great–great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by: parents Howard and Minnie Stevenson; husband John Hooker; daughter Barbara Hooker; brother Harold Stevenson; sister Dorothy Hoover; brother Donald Stevenson; brother Willard “Butch” Stevenson
She was a graduate of the former Harrod (now, Allen East) High School in Harrod, OH.
She was a homemaker.
Her favorite pastimes included cooking, solving jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows on television and traveling (especially to Florida).
Rites are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 6, 2021 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Robert Sweeney will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima, OH.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
