Mable A. Meckstroth, 94, of Saint Marys, and formerly of New Knoxville, died January 9, 2025, at St Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born November 20, 1930, in Elida, Ohio, the daughter of Eldridge and Grace (Conkle) Good.
She married Leonard Meckstroth on March 22, 1974, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by a niece, Sue (Dale) Brinkman of Columbus Grove; a cousin, Marlin (Diane) Kirkendall and numerous other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Robert (Peg) Good.
Mable was a homemaker and had previously worked as a nurse’s aide at St Rita's Medical Center, and also at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys when it first opened in 1953.
She was a member of the First Church of New Knoxville, and the Women’s Guild of the Church.
Her favorite pastimes included baking and canning the vegetables she raised in her garden.
Graveside funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 3, 2025, at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville, the Reverend Joel Bucklin, officiant.
Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville, is entrusted with Mable’s funeral arrangements.
