OBITUARY
M. Larry Stanfield, 82, of St. Marys, OH died 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 29, 2025 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH.
He was born October 1, 1942 in Willard, OH to Orville G. and Martha A. (Coburn) Stanfield.
On May 31, 2008 in Ft. Wayne, IN he married Sandra D. Moyers, who survives.

step-son John Fortman of St. Marys, OH
step-daughter Nikki (Jay) Shannon of St. Marys, OH
step-daughter Rebekah (J.R.) Baumer of Englewood, OH
step-son Jeffery Fortman of Portland, IN
12 grandchildren

sister Gwendolyn Holmes of Alverado, TX
sister Janice Terwilliger of Wooster, OH

He was a graduate of Willard, OH High School. Later, he received training in electronics and broadcasting.
A proud American, he served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Auglaize Co. Council on Aging, where he worked as a driver. In his younger years, he worked as a disc jockey, car salesman and for the Food Bank in Ft. Wayne, IN.
His favorite pastimes included singing and flying RC airplanes. Larry was a long-suffering supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians professional sports teams.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday August 2, 2025 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Robert Warren will officiate the services.
Visitation 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home
Military funeral honors will be conducted following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the family or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
