OBITUARY

Lydia Lou Kohlhorst, 57, of St. Marys, OH died Tuesday June 2, 2026 at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys.

She was born December 6, 1968 in Ashland, KY to Robert and Sylvia (Slone) Kohlhorst.

Survivors include:

sister Susan (Justin Braun) Bailey of Wapakoneta, OH

brother Timothy Kohlhorst of St. Marys, OH

custodial child Sophia Kohlhorst of St. Marys, OH

numerous nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by:

parents Robert and Sylvia Kohlhorst; sister Bonnie Gatlin

She was a graduate of Perry High School in Allen Co., OH (Class of 1988).

Lydia was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for children and babies.

Her favorite pastimes included rooting for the OSU Buckeyes sports programs and watching documentaries about “Bigfoot”.

Kind-hearted and loving, she will be remembered as a “mother figure” to many people.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 - 4 on Saturday June 13, 2026 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys.

Following the visitation, all are invited to the American Legion Post #323 2880 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, where a celebration of Lydia’s life with food, fellowship and refreshments will begin at 5:00 p.m.
