Obituary
Larry D. Tippie, 69, of Saint Marys, died 3:49 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1952, in Lima, the son of Dallas and Ruth (Spees) Tippie.
He is survived by his children: Brent Tippie of Fort Loramie; Laura Henline of New Knoxville; Christina (Dustin) Zumbroegel of Saint Marys. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and by his siblings: Irene (William) Golden of Lima; Harold Tippie of Lima; Byron (Rebecca) Tippie of Lima; Patricia Slone of Lima; Tim (Reba) Tippie of Louisiana; Doyle Tippie of Marion, Ohio; Daniel Tippie of Lima. He is survived by his former wife, Patricia Lammers of Saint Marys; by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School and Lima Technical College. He was a retired paramedic and for many years served with Lima/Allen County Paramedics and also St. John’s Fire and Rescue. He retired from AAP Corp. in Saint Marys.
He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and doing all kinds of renovation work. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Bob Sweeney, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
