Kevin L Shipman

Kevin L. Shipman, 51, of Saint Marys, died 11:15 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2020, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys, following a brief illness.

He was born November 10, 1969, in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of Sandy Shipman.

He is survived by his life partner, Denise Huttis of Saint Marys; by his former wife, Kacey Shipman of Sidney; by his best friend, Ryan Mueller of Saint Marys.

He is survived by his children: Jordan (Isaiah)Rucker of Zanesville; Dakota (Cory) Twyman of Sidney; Kylar Shipman of Saint Marys; Meghan Topp of Saint Marys; Kegan Klinger of Saint Marys.

He is survived by a sister, Stacy (Kurt) Gidcumb of Salesville, Ohio; by his grandchildren: Kyson Norris; Kashden Norris; Zaylen  Draughn; Ezra Burton; Damian Aldora. He is survived by his nephews: Chris Cosgrove of Cambridge and Corey Gidcumb of Cambridge. He is survived by his  in-laws, Joe and Kathy Sneddon of Zanesville; brother-in-law Scott (Carrie) Sneddon of Zanesville; a niece, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Hammer of Crooksville; a nephew, Blake Sneddon of Zanesville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Shipman.

Kevin graduated from North Tama High School. He served in the US Army, and was employed at Continental Corporation in Saint Marys. He attended Living Hope Assembly of God. Kevin loved riding his Harley and was a huge sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M.Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Rick Scheer, officiant, where American Legion Post 323 and VFW Post 9289 will conduct military burial rites.

Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Wounded Warriors Program. His family would like to invite you to dress casually.

All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandate of the Ohio Department of Health.
