OBITUARY

Kelly Sue (Chaney) Fry, 51, of Noble Twp. in rural Auglaize Co., OH died 4:34 a.m. Tuesday March 17, 2026 in the emergency department of JTDM Hospital in St. Marys, following a sudden illness.

She was born January 25, 1975 in St. Marys, OH to Larry and Mary (Flack) Chaney.

Survivors include:

son Dillon (Christine) Stroh of Minster, OH

daughter Miranda (Maddie) Severt of Seattle, WA 

son Nathaniel Fry of St. Marys, OH

grandchildren: Connor Stroh, Elliott Stroh, Sullivan Stroh; Aiden, Kaylee, Gracie

parents Larry and Mary Chaney of St. Marys, OH

brother Doug (Tandy) Chaney of Sallisaw, OK

brother Mike Chaney of St. Marys, OH

a large extended family including numerous aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by:

paternal grandparents Ralph and Martha Chaney; maternal grandparents Philip and Nadine Flack; grandsons Zachary and Myles; sister-in-law Heather 

She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1993) and Rhodes State College, where she earned an associate’s degree in business.

Kelly had worked as a production employee at Dannon Co. in Minster and as a waitress at the Grill in New Bremen for a number of years.

Her favorite pastimes included riding her motorcycle and boating with friends. Confident in her abilities, she often said that she was “capable of doing anything that a man can do.” Above everything else, she absolutely treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday March 23, 2026 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys

Visitation 2 - 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
