Kathy A (Wheeler) Stanz

Kathy A. Stanz, 64, of St. Marys Twp. OH passed away peacefully at 7:17 p.m. Thursday March 4, 2021 at her residence.

She was born July 10, 1956 in Lima, OH to John and Patricia (Farrar) Wheeler.

On August 26, 1989 in Ft. Jennings, OH she married Robert D. Stanz, who survives.

Other survivors include: son Ken (Ashley) Spitnale of Germantown, OH

                                       son Craig (Annie) Spitnale of Mentor, OH

                                       daughter Tracy (Brian) Collins of Ft. Jennings, OH

                                       daughter Lori (Scott McClellan) Boyd of Van Wert, OH

                                       daughter Amy (Darin) Donnelly of Lima, OH

                                       8 grandchildren (and, another due in September 2021)   

                                       3 great-grandchildren

                                       brother John (Ruth) Wheeler of Pigeon Forge. TN

                                       brother Larry (Kim) Wheeler of Elida, OH

                                       special niece (whom she helped raise) Jamie (Matt) Day of Ada, OH

                                       numerous other nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by:  parents John and Patricia Wheeler; sister Pamela Bowden                                    

She was a graduate of Elida High School (Class of 1974).

A homemaker, she had previously worked at various stores in the Lima Mall.

She devoted her life to her family, and cherished all the time spent with them. Kathy was a sports fan, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. She loved the mountains, frequently traveling to Gatlinburg, TN., for moonshine and wine tastings. Kathy will be remembered as a devoted, loving and nurturing human being. She will be truly missed!

Rites are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 10, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Gregg Fox will officiate the services.

Visitation 2 - 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
