Joseph R. Rush

Joseph R. Rush, 52, of St. Marys, OH died 6:30 p.m. Friday May 27, 2022 at his residence, with his loving family and close friends at his side.

He was born October 15, 1969 in St. Marys, OH to Raymond A. and Brenda Diann (Campbell) Rush.

He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by: father Raymond Rush; grandparents Roy and Ileen Rush; aunt Lynn Houts; uncle Jim “Tom” Campbell; uncle Jim Houts.

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1988) and Tiffin University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. As a young man, he earned the prestigious “Eagle Scout” award from the Boy Scouts of America.

He worked as a computer programmer at Husky Refinery in Lima, OH for many years. In addition, he and his friend Mike Freewalt operated Flaming Stars Mobile DJ Service.

He attended the Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in St. Marys.

His favorite pastimes included working with computers, fishing and camping.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 3, 2022 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
