Obituary

John Eugene Vulgamott, 75, formerly of Spencerville, OH died 2:25 p.m. Sunday May 14, 2023 at Otterbein – St. Marys.

 

He was born August 27, 1947 in Lima, OH to Freddie and Zella (Krouse) Vulgamott.

 

On March 1, 1991 in Allen Co., OH he married Judy K. Huey-Monfort, who survives.

 

Also survived by: step-daughter Brenda (Randy) Rempe of St. Marys, OH

                            step-daughter Beverly Watt of Cloverdale, OH

                            grandchildren: Erin Rempe and Ethan Rempe

                            brother Frederick Vulgamott of Lake City, FL

 

Preceded in death by: parents; granddaughter Emily Rempe; sister Ruth Eshleman; brother Dorsey Gene Vulgamott

 

He was a graduate of Spencerville High School (Class of 1967).

 

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

 

A retired long-haul truck driver, he worked many years for C & J. Sutter in Celina, OH.

 

His favorite pastimes included watching television and mowing his lawn.

 

Private family services, with military funeral honors, will be held.
