Obituary

Jodia Kay Long (Schmidt), 60, of St. Marys, OH passed on Sunday January 9, 2022 at Versailles Health Care Center in Versailles, OH following her battle with illness. 

Jodia was born June 20, 1961 in Hillsdale, MI.

She is survived by: son Neal Schmidt of Celina, OH

                               daughter Corie (Brian)Woesner of Richmond, IN 

                                son Jeremiah (Nikki) Schmidt of Mendon, OH 

8 grandchildren   2 great-grandchildren

                               mother Martha Horton (Schmidt) of St. Marys, OH

                               brother Chris Horton of St. Marys, OH

She spent her later years as an Avon representative and homemaker and had worked as a nursing assistant at area healthcare facilities in her earlier years.

Jodia was a loving mother and grandmother. Kind and considerate to others, she truly enjoyed volunteering for the monthly meals at the Auglaize Co. Council on Aging in St. Marys and other community functions. She was active in her church, Hillsdale United Brethren in Christ of Saint  Marys, and her community. 

To honor her life, a gathering of family and friends will be 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday January 23, 2022 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys.
