Jean E (Grimmit) Parfait

Jean Parfait, 82, of New Knoxville, died 11:37 A.M. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.

She was born August 12, 1939, in Margate, Kent, England, the daughter of William and Edna Grimmit.

She married Richard Parfait on August 10, 1974, in Carson City, Nevada, and he survives at the residence.

She is also survived by her children: Bob (Shari) Starke of Saint Marys; Jamie (Joe) Mabry of Saint Marys; Rick Parfait of New Knoxville.

Jean is survived by her grandchildren: Dustin (Jessica) Smith; April Starke; Taylor Starke; Shawn (Abby) Clark; Jamie (Ricky) Clark; Chad (Brittany) Clark, Kyle Oakley; Shane Oakley; Trevor Parfait; Morgan Parfait; Austin Parks; Drake Summers; Derek Summers; Jeffrey Davis; Van Parfait; Aiden Parfait; Gavin Parfait.She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sons: Gary Starke and Jeff Davis.

Jean graduated from high school in England. She was a homemaker, loved going to BINGO and shopping at thrift stores.

Funeral rites will be held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Dennis Gaertner, officiant.

Friends may call from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
