Jason Robert Thaxton

Jason Robert Thaxton, Sr., 49, of Elida, OH died unexpectedly at 2:11 a.m. Thursday May 28, 2026 in the emergency department of St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH.

He was born May 23, 1977 in Dayton, OH to James and Dolly (Elzey) Thaxton.

Survivors include:

The love of his life, Angela Seech,

son Dylan (Savannah) Forlow

son Jason Thaxton Jr.

daughters: Alexandria, Harley, Victoria, Destiny, Hailey

grandchildren: Corbin, Tyler, Dawson

mother Dolly Elzey

sister Samantha (Jeremiah) Lawrence

sister Sandra Thaxton (Dave)

An over the road CDL truck driver, Jason loved sight-seeing and meeting genuine people.

He was a “jack-of-all trades” and was very artistic. He will be remembered for his tremendous bear hugs, his off-key singing, and his unwavering willingness to help others. He brought joy and kindness to those around him and will be greatly missed. Above everything else, Jason loved Jesus and his family.

Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday June 12, 2026 at the Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home 506 N. Cable Road in Lima, OH.

Visitation 5:00 -  7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
