OBITUARY
Jason Allen Deitsch, 46, of St. Henry, OH died unexpectedly Sunday December 24, 2023 at his residence.
He was born September 18, 1977 in St. Marys, OH to Robert “Butch” A. and Loretta (Rupert) Deitsch.
Survivors include: daughter Kirsten Deitsch of Celina, OH
daughter Emily Zimmerman of Commerce, MI
mother Loretta Deitsch of Celina, OH
sister Dawn (Chad) Heikkila of Minneapolis, MN
niece and nephew Ashley Heikkila and Jacob Heikkila
aunts, uncles and cousins
mother of his children Jessica Zimmerman of Celina, OH
numerous friends and co-workers
Preceded in death by his father Robert “Butch” Deitsch on November 4, 2020.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1996).
A construction superintendent, he worked for H.A. Dorsten, Inc. in Minster, OH.
An avid outdoorsman, his favorite pastimes included camping at River Trail Campgrounds in Mendon OH and working the pit crew at dirt tracks in Montpelier and Gas City, IN. He enjoyed shooting with his daughter and friends. On Saturday mornings, he liked to make sure that everyone started their day with a good, solid breakfast that had been prepared on his grill.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday December 28, 2023 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. The Rev. Rhonda Hainer will officiate the services.
Visitation 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
