Janice Irene Townsend

Janice Irene Townsend, 69, of St. Marys, died Monday, Sept 13, 2021, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima after a short battle with cancer.

She was born March 3, 1952, in Piqua. In  March of 1970, she married Harry Boedicker, who survives in Spencerville. On Feb. 28, 2005, she married Larry Townsend, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Shannon Boedicker, of Celina; a daughter, Cherie Boedicker, of New Bremen; a stepson: Ed Townsend, of St. Marys; a sister, Nancy (Rich) Punches, of Bradford; 6 grandchildren, Suzie Overman, of Bar Harbor, Maine, Riley Sealscott, of New Bremen, Mya Boedicker, of Celina, Sebastian of Washington, Alex Townsend, of New Bremen and James Townsend, of Chicago, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Addyson Townsend, of New Bremen, and Orabella Townsend, of New Bremen.

Janice graduated from Bradford High School in 1970. She enjoyed gardening and indoor planting. She was a loving and supporting mother and grandmother.

Miller Funeral in St. Marys is in charge of arrangements. No public services will be held.
