James Kenneth Burger

OBITUARY

James K. Burger, 84, of St. Marys, OH died 9:59 a.m. Saturday October 26, 2024 at Heritage Nursing Center in Minster, OH.

He was born June 3, 1940 in St. Marys, OH to Harold and Annabelle (Shimp) Burger.

His wife of 66 years, Cleora B. Bricker, preceded him in death on April 1, 2024.

Survivors include: son Thomas (Penny) Burger of Illinois City, IL

                             4 grandchildren: Benjamin (Susan) Burger, Abigail (Shawn) Jackson, Stephen Burger, Kenneth Burger

                             8 great-grandchildren: Kendall, Holly Rose, Ares, Atlas, Braedyn, Ben, Autumn

                             brother Robert (Sue) Burger of Acworth, GA

Preceded in death by: parents Harold and Annabelle Burger; wife Cleora (Bricker) Burger; infant daughter Suzette Burger; sister Ruth Anne Roberts

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.

Jim worked as a production employee for many years at the AVCO-New Idea Corp. in Coldwater, OH. Later, he worked for Tyson Foods Inc.

His favorite pastime was woodworking. 

Rites are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys, OH. Pastor Keith Stuck will officiate the services.

Visitation 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
