Gary Wicker Obituary

Gary Wicker, 64, of Saint Marys, died 10:24 P.M Friday, June 26, 2020, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.

He was born  July 3, 1955, in Saint Marys, the son of James “Bud” and Shirley (Slone) Wicker.

 

He married Sue Gross on December 11, 1980; she survives at the residence.

 

He is also survived by his two brothers: Eddie Wicker of Saint Marys and Tim Wicker of Saint Marys.

He is survived by his extended family including: Aunt Jo Ann Slone-Kanter;  Uncle Clyde and Connie Wicker.

By  his nephews:  Jason Wicker; Tony Wicker; Jesse Wicker;; Henry Wicker, Jason Luedeke; Kevin Luedeke; Mark Bergman;; Jeff Weaver; Korey Fisher; Tommy Gross; Travis Auer.

By  his nieces:Cathaline Chisholm;Lisa Meeker;Mindy Pond; Tracey Fraley.

By his brothers-in-law Tim and Nancy Gross; Mick Gross; Mike Fannon. 

By his sisters-in-law Brenda (Jerry) Bergman; Sherry (Robert) Weaver; Mary Schwartz.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a nephew, James Wicker.

 

Gary retired from the Saint Marys Foundry, where he was a supervisor for 37 years.

 

He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.

 

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Tim Benjamin, officiant.

 Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday. Please follow COVID 19 social distancing guidelines, if attending. Memorial gifts may be given to the Lung Transplant Program at Ohio State University Hospital.
