Gary John Buettner

Gary Buettner, 75, of Delphos passed away on June 4, 2020 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

He was Born March 18, 1945, in Lima to the late John and Bertilla (Rahrig) Buettner. On November 12, 1966, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Hilvers; she preceded him in death on September 16, 2016.

He is survived by two daughters; Julia (Doug) Jutte, and Gina Csukker, both of Delphos; one sister, Connie (Jerry) Paddubny, of Ft. Jennings; and five grandchildren: Lindsy (Troy)  Warnecke, Shelby (Alex) Clark, and Jake, Ellie, and Grant Csukker, all of Delphos.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Denny Buettner, and sons-in-law, Phil Reindel and Ron Csukker.

Gary was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, and a 1963 graduate of St. John’s High School. He had attended The Ohio State University. He retired from Pitsenbarger’s Supply. Gary’s work was his play. He will be remembered for his huge smile and orneriness.

His funeral mass will be Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, please spread kindness.
