OBITUARY

Frederick O. Schamerloh, Jr., 85, of Montezuma, OH died 8:45 a.m. Sunday May 3, 2026 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys, OH.

He was born May 14, 1940 in Dayton, OH to Frederick O. and Mary Louise (Waltemathe) Schamerloh, Sr.

He is survived by four children and two step-children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

He proudly served his country in the United States Army Co. D 1st MTB 32nd Armor Division.

Fred was a retired firefighter for the City of Dayton, OH Fire Department.

He enjoyed spending time in his home near Grand Lake St. Marys.

Private family services will be held. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in Dayton, OH.
