Etta Pruitt Obituary

Etta Pruitt, 77, of Wapakoneta, died 9:25 A.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her residence.

 

She was born July 2, 1944, in Fonde, Kentucky, the daughter of Richard and Dosie (Snodgrass) Evans.

 

She is survived by her children: John (Laura) Pruitt of New Bremen; Angela Schroer of New Bremen; by her grandchildren: Jordan Pruitt; Taylor Pruitt; Zackary (Alyssa) Schroer; Madison (Tate) Carlon; by 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Ronnie Evans of Tennessee; Larry (Brenda) Evans of Indiana; Susie Goins of Indiana; Kathy (Denny) Burden of Saint Marys. She is survived by her significant other, Rick Houser.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her siblings: Hanley Evans; Gary Evans; Van Evans; Richard Evans, Jr.; Kenneth Evans; Geraldine Harrell; Sylvia Lamb; Theresa Burger; Beverly Baker. 

 

Etta attended the Bell County Schools. She had worked at JB Tool, was a bartender at VFW Post 9289; waitressed at the former Dixie Lee Diner and later worked at Dollar General.

She enjoyed fishing, reading, listening to music, watching her extensive movie collection, and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
