Eric S Chiles

Eric Chiles, 45, of Saint Marys, died 7:25 P.M. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born December 14, 1978, in Saint Marys, the son of Mary (Lauth) and Jerome Chiles.

Eric was raised by his grandparents, Doris (Shallenberg) and Bill Lauth; Doris survives in Saint Marys.

Eric married Britney Felver on November 8, 2019, in Wapakoneta, and she survives at the residence. He is also survived by his children: Ivan Schroeder and Cadence Chiles. He is survived by his father, Jerome Chiles of Saint Marys; by his siblings: Josh Chiles of Saint Marys; Crystal McMartin of Sidney; Sarah Greenbaum of Saint Marys; by his mother-in-law, Robin Felver of Wapakoneta; father-in-law, Dane Felver of Anna; by his uncles, Bill (Amy) Lauth, Jr. of Saint Marys; Doug Lauth of Sidney.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Lauth, Sr.; by his mother, Mary Lauth.

Eric was a graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was employed at Setex and he loved playing his guitar. He loved the music of the Beatles.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
