OBITUARY
 

Dustin L. Schmehl, 32, of St. Marys, OH died March 21, 2024 in rural Auglaize Co., OH.

He was born August 13, 1991 in St. Marys, OH.

Survivors include: father Jerry Schmehl of St. Marys, OH

                             mother Kathy (Koetter) Schmehl of St. Marys, OH

                             brother Josh (Ashley) Schmehl of Mt. Vernon, OH

                             paternal grandmother Dolores A. (Etter) Schmehl of St. Marys, OH

                             a large extended family which includes numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

Preceded in death by: paternal grandfather Lee R. Schmehl; maternal grandfather Edward Koetter; maternal grandmother Laneta (Freewalt) Koetter

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 2010) and attended the Apollo Career Center to study Multi-Craft Industrial Technology.

Dustin was a gifted individual who enjoyed reading, card games, role-playing and making others laugh. More than anything else, he liked taking long walks to find solitude in nature.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Andrew Atkins will officiate the services.

Private interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 11:;00 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
