OBITUARY
Donald M. “Mike” Brotherwood, 72, of St. Marys, OH passed away peacefully 10:45 p.m. on Friday June 19, 2026 surrounded by family at his residence.
He was born September 6, 1953 in St. Marys, OH to Donald L. and Mary Ann (Boltz) Brotherwood.
On August 10, 1973 in St. Marys, he married Nancy Kiefer, who survives.

sister Beth (Mark) Hemmert of Botkins, OH
sister Amy Norman of St. Marys, OH
brother Steve (Teresa) Brotherwood of St. Marys, OH

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1972).
Mike retired from the Minster Machine Co., after 40 years of service as a welder.
His favorite pastime was riding motorcycles with Nancy and together they traveled countless miles over the years. In his younger days, he enjoyed spending time with his buddies working on cars and pulling pranks on one another. He was a longtime member of ABATE of OHIO (Auglaize Co. Chapter) and participated in numerous Toy Runs and other charitable activities. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. Through the years, Mike owned many beloved pet dogs (all of which he named Fred and Barney).
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 27, 2026 at the Miller Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys, OH, with Pastor Robert Sweeney, officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.
Visitation 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
