Delores F. (Kill) Schetter, 90, of Saint Marys, died as she lived, peacefully, with her family by her side, on September 13, 2021.
She was born January 5, 1931, in Spencerville, Ohio, the daughter of Sylvester A. and Inez O. (Lauth) Kill, who preceded her in death.
On June 30, 1951, she married World War II veteran and sweetheart,Robert “Bob”Schetter, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2005.
Delores is survived by her four children: Joseph Schetter of Saint Marys; Father Jerome Schetter of Ottoville; Janet (Jack) Hagerman of Saint Marys; Julia (Edward) Haehn of Saint Marys.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Stacy (Andy) Schmiesing; Robert (Kayla) Hagerman; Kellie Spray; Justin (Erin) Spray; Jamie Spray; by step-granddaughters Kimberly Below and Angie Haehn; by 17 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include her sister, Evelyn Kohler of Wapakoneta; sisters-in-law, Irma Kill of Delphos and Hazel Kill of Lima and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Daniel Dietz of Wapakoneta.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Lois Dietz; Velma (Harry) Hoersten; Fred Kill; Charles (Bonnie) Kill; Frank (Helen) Kill; Howard Kill; Agnes Kill. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Bill Spray; sister-in-law, Loretta Schetter and brother-in-law, Father Albert Schetter.
Delores was a loving wife, devoted mother and homemaker. She worked several years at the St Marys Cotton Mill. She loved playing euchre with her family and friends, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, and Ladies Altar Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 20, 2021, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Jerry Schetter, celebrant, and Father Alex Witt, concelebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Sunday, and from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Monday, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Holy Rosary Church Education Foundation.
