OBITUARY
Dawn M. Roop, 49, of St. Marys, OH died 5:31 p.m. Wednesday December 4, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 2, 1975 in Oakland City, IN.
On October 7, 2017 in St. Marys, OH she married Bryan L. Roop, who survives.
Also survived by: son Tristan (Bryanna) Wilcox of Ft. Campbell, KY
step-son Cameron (Aleah) Roop of Lima, OH
step-son Levi Roop of Spencerville, OH
step-daughter Isabel Roop of Spencerville, OH
4 grandchildren: Amira, Emmett and Violet Wilcox; Bentlee Roop
mother Paula (Keneipp) McLaughlin of St. Marys, OH
in-laws: Larry (Linda) Roop of Cridersville, OH; Tom (Debbie) Swickrath of Lima, OH
special aunts & uncles: Karen Keneipp, Joan Keneipp, Dixie and Chuck Courtney;
very dear friend Terese Johnson-Christian
a large extended family consisting of numerous aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by: grandparents: Pauline and Morland Smith; uncle Charles “Butch” Keneipp
She was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School (Class of 1994) and Rhodes State College.
An office administrator, she was employed at the Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio in Coldwater, OH.
She attended the Church on the Horizon in Van Wert, OH.
Her favorite pastimes included listening to music, singing, reading and watching movies. Above everything else, she treasured the time spent with her family.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday December 12, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys.
Private family visitation 1 3 p.m. on Thursday, followed by public visitation 4 - 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family to assist with final expenses, or to Hospice.
