David E. Price, 97, of Ohio City, died 1:13 A.M. Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Vancrest of Van Wert.
He was born August 14, 1922, in Ohio City, the son of Joseph and Golda (Harp) Price
He married Helen Valentine on December 5, 1945, in Ohio City; she preceded him in death on July 1, 2014.
He is survived by his two sons: Jim (Sandy) Price of Van Wert; Mike (Sue) Price of Ohio City.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Bob Price; Randy (Stacey) Price; by his great-grandchildren: Charlie Price; Caleb Price; Lillian Price; Reece Price; Merissa Price; Zach Price; Abby Price.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Price; a sister Lois Bassett; an infant sister Catherine Price; a grandson, Dan Price.
David was a 1940 graduate of Ohio City Liberty High School. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from New Idea Corporation in Coldwater. He enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing with his wife, and they loved traveling. His favorite pastime was working in his shop.
In accordance with the orders of Governor Mike Dewine and the Ohio Department of Health during the coronavirus pandemic, private, family only funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2020, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys,Pastor Gary Ginter, officiant.
Burial rites will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
