OBITUARY

David L. Crist, 82, of rural Spencerville, OH died 6:58 a.m. Monday at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys, OH.

He was born July 5, 1941 in Lima, OH to Edward and Margaret (Hart) Crist.

On September 30, 1988 he married Ola Marie Young-Ickes, who survives.

                            daughter Linda Roby of Lima, OH

                            son Danny Reed of Celina, OH

                            step-son Robert (Amber) Ickes of St. Marys, OH

                            step-son Daniel (Nicole) Ickes of St. Marys, OH

                            step-daughter Corina (Isaac) Bohn Wapakoneta, OH

                            numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

                            sister Sandy Crist of St. Marys, OH

                            sister Tammy (Trish) Crist of Findlay, OH

Preceded in death by: parents Edward and Margaret Crist; son James Crist; son David Reed; brother Edward Crist; brother Claude Crist; brother Larry Crist; son-in-law Brian Ault

Prior to becoming disabled, he worked in construction, as a truck driver and a tree trimmer. In addition, he worked at Grand Lake Bait & Tackle in St. Marys.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and all types of hunting .More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends (especially his grandbabies).

Rites are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday October 6, 2023 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys.

Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
