Carolyn A. Sparrowe, 79, of McComb, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2026. Carolyn was born on October 01, 1946, to her parents John and Edna (Couch) Hardy in Fostoria, Ohio. They preceded her in death. On July 02, 1966, she married John Sparrowe. John preceded her in death on April 15, 2004. Carolyn is now home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her loving husband John.
Carolyn is survived by her son Raymond (Michele) Sparrowe of McComb, Ohio; her daughter Ann Heishman of Ada, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren: a granddaughter Johnna Heishman of Ada, Ohio; grandson Joe Heishman of Ada, Ohio; a granddaughter Jackie Heishman of Ada, Ohio; a granddaughter Jessica (Travis) Gedelian of Pandora, Ohio; a granddaughter Jenna (Zach) Karcz of New Albany, Ohio. Carolyn is also survived by one great – granddaughter Jade Gedelian of Pandora, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister Jean Dirmeyer of Harrod, Ohio.
Carolyn was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School in Columbus Grove, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Carolyn was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of McComb Church of Christ and loved her church family. She was a loyal fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Carolyn was also an avid sprint car fan and especially enjoyed attending races at Eldora Speedway with John when he was alive.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Edna Mann, and her brother John Hardy, Jr.
Visitation will take place Thursday June 04, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hanneman Funeral Home 370 South Park Drive in McComb. Funeral Services will take place immediately following visitation at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff Fuller will be officiating. Burial will follow funeral services at Union Cemetery in McComb. Memorials in lieu of flowers in Carolyn’s memory are to be directed to The Heritage at 2820 Greenacre Drive Findlay, Ohio 45840.
