Brandi Sheffield Obituary

Brandi Dawn (Morgan) Sheffield, 48, of Findlay, Ohio, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany, to the late Arthur and Penny (Wiley) Morgan while her father was serving in the United States Army.

Brandi is survived by her loving husband, Donald Sheffield; her cherished children, Anna Freed, Wesley Sheffield, and Casey Sheffield; her grandsons, Hunter and Harley Freed; her brother, Samuel Colt Morgan; her half-siblings, Mary Holcomb, Starlina, and Joe; her best friends, Jennifer and David Steward; her beloved dogs, Marissa and Edith; along with several nieces and nephews, and countless friends whom she loved as family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Patsy Wiley, and her cherished cat, Felicity.

Growing up in a military family, Brandi lived in many places around the world and across the United States. She loved to travel and dreamed of visiting Ireland, Germany, and France. Since moving to Findlay three and a half years ago, Brandi and Don enjoyed attending concerts, theater performances, operas, murder mystery events, having tea at the Swan House, and taking day trips to Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo, and beyond—always seeking something fun to do together. To say she loved reading and watching movies would be an understatement, as shown by her expansive library of books and films.

After graduating from Alvarado High School in 1995, Brandi pursued her passion for healthcare. She earned her Medical Billing Diploma from Everest College in 2013 and later obtained her Pharmacy Technician Certification from Remington College in 2017. She went on to dedicate several years working from home as a pharmacy technician with Humana, where her diligence and care touched the lives of many.

A lover of life’s simple joys, Brandi’s hobbies reflected her creative, vibrant, and curious spirit. She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, diamond painting, and building LEGO creations—passions she happily shared with her children and grandsons. She also found peace in birdwatching, often spending quiet mornings appreciating the beauty of nature.

Above all, Brandi deeply loved her family. She cherished time spent playing games, cards, and dominoes, and was proudly a “Daddy’s girl.” A dedicated and hardworking woman, she did everything she could to support those she loved. She had a heart of gold, a gift she passed on to her children and grandsons. Her greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandbabies.

Those who knew Brandi will remember her for her boundless kindness, infectious optimism, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her and in the countless lives she touched with her generosity and warmth.

Brandi was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Findlay. She sang in the choir, helped with youth ministry and the Taylor Place ministry, served as a Communion Minister, and was nearly a full-time volunteer. Her kindness, warmth, and faithful presence touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed.

A time for family and friends to gather and share memories will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m., with Vicar Jacinda Jones presiding. A luncheon will follow in the Schutt Center. Memorial contributions in Brandi’s memory may be made to Findlay Hope House, 1800 N. Blanchard St. #106, Findlay, Ohio 45840.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home (Ryan Neal, director).
