Betty Duer-Hertz, 58, of St. Marys, OH died Friday October 18, 2019 at her residence.

She was born December 26, 1960 in Lima, OH.

Survivors include: mother Betty Lou Smith of St. Marys, OH

                              sister Tammy (Ty) Courtney of Van Wert, OH

                              brother Tony Russell of St. Marys, OH

                              sister Pamela Slife of Cridersville, OH

                              brother Ronald Smith II of St. Marys, OH

                              step-sister Tonya Smith of Celina, OH

                              step-sister Tracy Smith of Celina, OH

                              numerous nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by: brother Brian Russell; step-father Ronald Dean Smith 

She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1979), Apollo Career Center in Lima, OH and ITT Technical Institute in Ft. Wayne, IN.

She was a homemaker.

Betty was known for her kindness to animals, especially her dogs "Kissy" and "CJ".

Rites are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday October 25, 2019 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys.

Visitation 1 - 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
