OBITUARY
Barbara E. Glass, 78, a long-time resident of Noble Twp. in Auglaize Co., OH passed away peacefully at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2024 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born February 6, 1946 in Celina, OH to Ivan “Mike” and Ruth Loree (Rasneor) Glass.
She is survived by: 1 nephew and 6 nieces:Mike (Jan) Glass, Cheri (Sterling) Fenwick, Jayne (Bob) Fahncke, Joni (Dale) Ahlers, Lori (Barry) Morris, Christi (David) Leugers, Angi Glass . numerous great-nephews and great-nieces
sister-in-law Christine Glass of St. Marys, OH
Preceded in death by: parents Ivan “Mike” and Ruth Glass; sister Shirley McEvoy-Kemp; brother Ned Glass; nephews: Dougie and Jeffie Glass
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1964).
Barb retired from JTDM Hospital in St. Marys, where she worked in the dietary services for many years.
She attended Walnut Grove Church in rural St. Marys and along with her mother, taught Sunday School at the Methodist Church.
A friendly and outgoing person, she treasured time spent with her family and many friends. She especially enjoyed reminiscing about her younger years and memories from being raised on the family farm, including being an active member of Happy Dairy 4H Club. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Venture Club. An avid bowler, she participated in leagues and won numerous medals.
Barb’s final words were that she “Wanted to go home to Mom and Dad.” May she rest in peace.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 16, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Parker Miley will officiate the services. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 1 - 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Barb’s family encourages those attending the visitation and services to dress casually.
